Anyone need a really good generator for running the portable TV or charging the boat battery?
Now surplus to requirements, Honda 4-stroke petrol.
6v DC 12v DC 24v DC
Produces nearly 20amps max at 12volts, so will charge a flat battery enough to start a car or boat engine within about 15 minutes. To run a portable colour TV or boat/caravan fridge it only needs to run just above tick-over. Has been used mainly for recharging 10Ah lead/acid batteries used to power film cameras and sound recording gizmos on location where it's essential to maintain battery voltage in cold climates.
Serviced at least once every season, it starts well, runs fairly quietly and performs perfectly. Complete with cable & crock clips, ready for use.
Located just outside Hoveton, PM if you want to see it working. Offers welcome, but it's too good to give away and it will still be doing the job long after those cheap little 2-strokes have given up.
