Hi All, Many thanks to Carol who has just got me sorted out with posting photo's, Here follows a few to whet your appetites.
R641 was formerly named Star Supreme I, then Superb Heart then Supurb Gem then into private ownership and became Ivy Lady, until we got hold of her, she is now know as 'Broad Ambition' She was built in 1966 by Jack Powles of Wroxham. Timber construction. When we got hold of her, at first glance she seemed to be sound - WRONG - the tons of paint was holding her together. five and a half THOUSAND man hours later, we are nearly finished..... We had to take off one of the doors of the shed and remove some brickwork as R641 is about a foot wider than the door openings, At least she cannot be stolen easily!

We are installed and safe. Stbd Bow, having removed 40 odd years, layers and layers of paint and partially sanded down

Leap forward a LOT of Hours, this photo shows where we are now at (Well the Hull anyway) We have removed both Freeboard and Gunwale rubbing strips and replaced them with Oak laminated up (and steamed in where neccessary). The Top Straking Plank has been re-newed entirly, the Apron has been removed / re-newed. The Toe rail has been re-newed. Installed a new Bow roller for the mudweight as well as as a Prow for the anchor plate. The Hull had hours upon hours of TLC - Graving / Sanding / Plugging / Hardwood Caulking / Replacing planks etc. Gallons upon gallons of 5 Star Cuprinol (Current prices are about £27 per gallon) then building up of Sealers / Primers / Undercoates / Topcoats / Antil fouling / Boot Topping / 6 coats of varnish where applicable. And that is just the Hull !!
