A gem of a pub. |
|
Super little pub. Just sit outside alongside the road on a nice day and imagine your an old Norfolk boy (or girl) from many moons ago. There once used to be so many pubs like this in Norfolk but most have now sadly gone. Nice garden area and separate field (yes, field) for kids to run round in. |

A Jewel in the middle of Norfolk |
|
I was surprised at the friendliness of all the staff. From the landlord and his wife to the wairesses, they were curteous. The choice of menu was excellent, my wife and I will most certainly visit "Nelson Head" whenever we are in the area. |

Nelson Head |

A true gem of a pub with excellent Woodfordes ales. Friendly staff and good service. Why is it called Nelson Head and not Nelson's Head though? |

Have eaten here for many years under 3 landlords, the food has always been good, it still is and now better value than ever. I love the plaice myself but all the dishes are good.

A gem of a rural pub |
|
This is a classic unspoilt rural pub full of atmosphere. Goodish (15 mins) walk from Horsey staithe but well worth it. Woodforde's beers on offer and well kept. Lovely semi overgrown beergarden at the side of the pub and bench seating at the front. A perfect stop over when walking back from the beach. Recommended. |

Nearest moorings at Horsey staithe. These are limited due to the number of private craft moored in the staithe.

Tried filled baguettes. Crusty warm bread and plenty of filling. A touch expensive at around the £6 mark but very enjoyable.
